Ron Corbett would be proud to tell you that his personal and professional passion has revolved around the Las Vegas automotive and equipment industry. Ron started his career as an automotive mechanic in 1972. For the past 20 years Ron has worked specifically in fleet management. He pioneered the use of Bio-Diesel in Las Vegas and strongly supports alternatively powered vehicles. His career includes being the Shop Manager for Blaine Equipment, the Nevada Department of Transportation, Clark County and presently the Fleet Operations Manager with the City of North Las Vegas. In 1982, Ron started teaching various automotive classes for the College of Southern Nevada, training classes for Instructors and fleet management classes. In addition, he wrote two published articles on shop management. Ron has chaired the Diesel Education and Steering Committee for the ATTC Center and is currently the Education and Steering Committee chair for the College of Southern Nevada since 1995.

Joe Pellissier is the Fleet Services Manger for NV Energy. Joe has over 30 years experience working in the automotive field. He was born and raised in Las Vegas and began working as a Mechanic while in high school. He attended UNLV for two years and transferred to Reno to attend UNR where he graduated with a Mechanic Engineering Degree. In 1986, he was hired by NV Energy to work in the Fleet Department as an associate engineer where he design trucks and equipment and was responsible for all vehicle and equipment purchases. Joe was instrumental in building the first natural gas fueling station in the State of Nevada and had in excess of 60 vehicles at one time utilizing natural gas as the vehicles primary fuel. Joe returned to school and obtained a Master Degree in Business Administration. After 13 years, Joe left the fleet department and worked in other areas at NV Energy that included field work force management, mobile dispatch and outage management applications, mapping, and new business/customer hookup. Joe returned to the Fleet Department in 2008 as the Fleet Manager. In his current position, Joe manages a fleet of over 2000 pieces of vehicles and equipment within the State of Nevada and North East California. He is responsible for the fuel, maintenance, acquisition and disposal of all vehicles and equipment. Joe manages three primary garage locations, 14 smaller secondary garage locations, and several mobile field mechanics. Joe was one of the founders of the Nevada Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Fleet Managers Association (RMFMA) Nevada chapter in 1993 and is currently involved in several fleet management associations. He is very active in the community in particular with Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada.

James has over twenty seven years of experience working in the automotive field with the last twenty four spent working within large fleet organizations. He has experience in privet sector fleets, public sector fleets and in retail automotive service. He has spent the last seventeen years employed by the Las Vegas Valley Water District were he spent four years as a Fleet Heavy Line Technician, nine years as a Fleet Services Supervisor and the last four years as the Fleet Services Manager. In his current position, James manages a fleet of over 2200 pieces of vehicles and equipment and is responsible for the maintenance, acquisition and disposal of all vehicles, equipment, radio communications equipment, fuel, fuel infrastructure and loanable tools. He is currently serving as the Transportation Chairman for the Joint Technical skills Committee in association with the Clark County School District and the College of Sothern Nevada. He is also the Vice Chairman of the Rocky Mountain Fleet Managers Association (RMFMA) Nevada chapter.

Marty O’Connor has been with Thomas/Haycock Petroleum since 1991 and has served as a Sales Representative and a Sales Manager prior to being named Vice-President of Fleet Fueling in 1999. Marty came to Las Vegas via Bronx, NY where she and her husband owned and operated an Irish Bakery. Prior to her bakery experience, Marty taught elementary and middle school in Ohio from 1972 to 1984. She is a graduate of Ohio Dominican College.

Rudy Garcia is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Auto Safety House LLC. Auto Safety House is an Arizona/Nevada based company with four locations. The company has been providing fleet solutions to municipalities, school districts, public utilities, and private contractors for over 70 years. Mr. Garcia has over 10 years of experience working with these related fleet and work vehicle segments and is a seasoned corporate executive with over 35 years of experience with companies such as United Parcel Service, Nextel and Insight. He has most recently developed significant expertise in green fleet solutions by working closely with green fleet solutions technology manufacturers, and many other stakeholders inclusive of many fleet operators/managers, the EPA Region 9 West Coast Collaborative, public agencies such as ADEQ and the Clark County Department of Environmental Quality, as well as the three Clean Cities Coalitions that are located in Arizona and Nevada. He was the recipient of the Rocky Mountain Fleet Managers Association Outstanding Associate of the Year award in 2008, has been a board member of the Associated Minority Contractors Association since 2002. Mr. Garcia strives to support many other trade and fleet associations located throughout Arizona and Nevada, which lend assistance and support to an industry that we are all very dependent on.

Wayne Meissner is currently the Maintenance manager for Jacobs Engineering, which has over 55,000 employees world wide. He is the past Maintenance Administrator for the Regional Transportation Commission and was in this position for over 16 years. Prior to that, he was the Maintenance Superintendent for Clark County for 8 years and the Maintenance Supervisor for the Clark County Sanitation District for 2 years. Wayne’s previous experience includes being a diesel mechanic, managing a trucking firm, and the owner/operator of a tire dealership, service station, and garage and towing service. Wayne was the Chairman of the Nevada Association of Fleet Managers from 1990 to 1994 and the Membership Chairman from 1988 to 1989. During that time, he was also involved in other programs offered by the Nevada Association of Fleet Managers. He is currently a member of the Las Vegas Regional Clean Cities Coalition (LVRCCC) and has been since its inception in 1993. Wayne is the Chairman of the LVRCCC Vehicle and Infrastructure Committee.

Dennis Ransel is the Manager of the of Air Quality Planning Division for the Clark County Department of Air Quality and Environmental Management (DAQEM). He has been with Clark County since 1994, working mostly with air quality planning and mobile sources programs. Prior to coming to Clark County, Dennis served in the U.S. Air Force as a supply and logistics manager. He has worked with the County’s alternative fuels program, helping to develop the natural gas fueling infrastructure and to advance the acquisition and use of alternative fuel vehicles in fleets throughout the County. His current responsibilities in the DAQEM Planning Division include the development and implementation of air quality plans to attain national ambient air quality standards in Clark County.

Gary Weinberg is President of his own consulting firm and is currently working as a consultant in the area of Biodiesel and lubricants with Rebel Oil Company in Las Vegas NV. Gary began his career with Mobil Oil Corporation and retired with 30 years’ service in 1994. He then became Sales Manager for Haycock Petroleum in Las Vegas and was with them for 12 years achieving his certification in the field of lubrication. In 2001 he helped Haycock take a leading role in the distribution of Biodiesel in the Las Vegas market. His passion for Biodiesel led him to become Vice President –National Sales Manager for Biodiesel Industries in 2006 where he worked closely with the manufacturing and marketing of Biodiesel throughout the U.S.

Jim Zeimet has been with the Clark County Water Reclamation District for 31 years. For the past 24 years, he has been their Fleet Maintenance Supervisor. Jim helped promote the fueling infrastructure for alternative fuel vehicle (AFVs) and the use of biodiesel in Clark County. Presently running a fleet of 98% alternative fuel Jim is ASE certified in 15 areas; including heavy-duty trucks, automotive, and compressed natural gas. Jim was a member of the Nevada Association of Fleet Managers for 16 years. He is currently a member of the Las Vegas Regional Clean Cities Coalition (LVRCCC) and has been since 1993.
