ETHANOL (E85) FUELING STATIONS

The Las Vegas Valley currently has several E85 fueling stations available to the public. Ethanol is an alcohol-based fuel that is produced by fermenting and distilling starch or sugar crops. U.S. ethanol is currently derived mostly from corn.

E85 is a blend of ethanol (85%) and gasoline (15%). E85 may ONLY be used in flexible fuel vehicles, commonly known as "FFVs." FFVs can run on E85, conventional gasoline or a combination of the two. Vehicles that are not flexible fuel vehicles should NOT be filled with E85. For more information, click www.ethanol.org.
