The Las Vegas Regional Clean Cities Coalition (LVRCCC) is a
public-private partnership aimed at expanding the use of alternatives to
gasoline and diesel fuels. By encouraging the use of alternative fuel
vehicles (AFVs), LVRCCC helps enhance energy security and independence
and environmental quality in the Las Vegas Valley.
LVRCCC includes nearly 100 stakeholder organizations (click here for more information on
membership) that are committed to expanding the use of alternative
fuels in the Las Vegas Valley. Since it was established in 1993, LVRCCC
has increased the number of AFVs to nearly 10,000. Click here for current AFV statistics.
Biodiesel, electricity, ethanol, hydrogen, methanol, natural gas and
propane comprise the fuels which are promoted as alternatives to
gasoline and diesel. For several of those fuels, there are a variety of
both passenger and heavy-duty alternative fuel vehicles available. Click here for links to AFV manufacturers.
LVRCCC stakeholders meet bi-monthly to discuss and plan the expansion of
AFVs and the fueling infrastructure to support their use. Click here for information on the next LVRCCC
meeting.
